Drawing | Drawings for Sculpture

A collection of drawings that explore the potential of three-dimensional artefacts as objects of desire. Desire in its broadest term exploring something better, longed for, imagined or proposed. These drawings were created in tandem with working with studio material that allowed for exploration of three-dimensional elements using an intuitive approach both through the drawings and through the making.
They became a document of creating form, finding space and object in response to models made in the studio. There is an element of introspection evident, angles spouting remembered forms often linked to home space domestic space and the potentiality of objects.
A tangible relationship between the felt and the imagined perspective is explored using domestic materials such as tights, wool and material linked to ritual or action.
There is a planetary and cosmic consideration evident in these drawings with a relativity to space and outer space explored, they can appear alien as if belonging to an ancient system of belief.
Possibly a sketch to remember the plausibility of decorative form to hold the meaning of all that is valued.
